Ala Moana Bowls, a well-known surf break on the South Shore of Oahu, was recently slammed by the massive Pacific swell that lit up the Billabong Teahupoo contest. I love the buoy in the lineup, how it rises with the wave face, stretching to the maximum distance its anchor will permit before being violently sucked back under the water. Pretty nuts! The insane barrel at 0:27 made me throw my arms up from my seat in front of my laptop.
